www.superfoodhealthyliving.com Many raw-foodists experience problems after many years on the diet, such as osteoporosis (low bone density), tooth decay, and deficiencies. How do you explain these failures to thrive on the raw vegan diet? Thats a great question. Lets look at low bone density. There are a few factors involved. One is an insufficient amount of magnesium in the diet, or an insufficient amount of silica in the diet, or a detoxification process which is too much, too fast, and which leaves one deplete of magnesium, silica, calcium and iron. Also, theres a hormonal aspect to this. We find that some people, if theyre not getting the proper raw materials, cannot produce the proper hormones. For example, if someone gets too estrogenic, they will start losing bone mass. So we need to have foods that are testosterone builders or progesterone builders, or that build DHEA. Foods like that are coconut oil, yam, maca, evening primrose oil, the fennel class of foods, and many other specific foods that do that. These foods can give you the proper hormone-building materials. That still may not be enough for some certain people. If its not, then I recommend going with a unique type of coconut product called pregnenelone (which has already been reacted along the path with the metabolic pathway towards producing progesterone, and/or testosterone). @82Bdog, wait n experience the long term,… if you don’t get negatives in the short term. And, different people, different abilities/requirements in dealing with the consumed food ‘materials’. Though you’ll probably require specific supplementation anyhow, such as B12, but hey do what inspires you. I wish the best. Oh, and negative mental reactions can occur also with the vegan direction, as with any direction. It’s not the ultimate panacea, except as part of a dynamic/variable life.
@ToolsnFire What I’m saying is fruits are lower in calories and people are used to eating empty calories or high calorie foods,so when they eat a little fruit because of the volume they don’t eat as much. They don’t take in the fact that they need to eat more volume because it’s lower calorie. Once I understood this my workout performance soared. Also I’m gaining mass also. I don’t know how fruits and veg could make you have weaker skin? Fruit is the most natural food for humans.
@82Bdog, thing is though, for many people, eating more calories from that category of foods is not biologically adequate/practical, hence cooked foods and animal foods, not as a matter of needing more cleansing or ‘addiction’. Basics of being human. Negative physical, not mental, reactions occur, such as weaker skin being one of the first indicators of inadequateness even if plenty is eaten, 3000calories or whatever, it’s a food chemistry issue with the body.
@ToolsnFire It’s harder to get the calories in with just fruits and veg. Most people don’t eat enough calories and they blame the diet. Once I understood that everthing got better and I started gaining weight and building muscle like I wanted to. There’s actually alot of people doing this and doing very well. The one’s that fall off usually don’t eat enough calories. I’m eating 3500 -4000 cals a day. That’s cause I workout alot. I kee getting stronger also.
@82Bdog, I don’t see how people can do that raw 801010 for long. Maybe, but I find quality animal foods necessary for good/great health. And, plenty of quality cooked food. Just sayin. I’ve been there done that extensively in the 801010 direction. Since 1984, and found the SHD(standard human diet range, not SAD) works best for me. And of course raw fruits and vegetables are an important part, but not ‘only’,…when ‘only’ I’ve found them to be inadequate for good/great health.

nothin beats veggie juice raw. cacao makes me loose weight as its a huge stimulant, goji doesnt really do jack, sure its got more protein then raisens, but i eat eggs for that, blue green algae did nothing for my energy, without the nut talk and raw cult you would realize hes happy cause hes rich as shit selling overpriced raisens for sixteen dollars a pound, aka goji berries

@ukijhu97 If you haven’t already look into reading Dr. doug graham’s book 80/10/10 and check out rogerhaeske’s site. Also 30bananasaday. I am doing so much better since I’ve been eating low fat raw. My strength and my workouts have gotten so much better. Before I was just searching for the next best superfood. Now I have alot better results and alot more money lol!
@ukijhu97 I can’t say I’m not disappointed. But I still believe David Wolfe Is doing a good job in spreading the word of raw food, I would never have been as aware of nutrition health spirituality today if it weren’t for him and in that case he could have plagiarized 100 books, i still wouldn’t have cared.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell the good from the bad when the bad people confuse you.
@82Bdog I can’t say exactly what happened but my best guess is that David Wolfe along with two other co-workers may have “quoted” a lot of things from this other person’s book which is VERY common in this line of work. They may have been incautious when doing so, not knowing that this guy Hovanessian who they greatly respected and admired would care so much that someone in his line of work(raw food) would have problems with them promoting the raw food diet.

@ukijhu97 I don’t believe everything I read or else I would believer everything wolfe says. I used to fall for buying all that shit. It may be better than other brands but it’s not necessary. You’re better off with leafy greens and eating loads of fruit. It’s true he did take almost word for word from someone else’s book.
@82Bdog They are more powerful because they contain more concentrated amounts of minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients, ormus, you name it, unlike conventional mass-produced, genetically modified, with pestisides that have no damn nutrition left in them.

Another reason to avoid the Vegan Diet is EFA deficiency, primarily DHA/EPA. Plant based Omega3 efa, known as Alpha Linolenic acid has to be converted for your body to use as DHA/EPA, this conversion rate in humans is very low, usually at a rate of 1-4%. Jesus, the saviour of the world ate fish, it should be ok for everyone else.
